Consuelo is a generous and imaginative ten-year-old from Mexico City. Her parents own a bakery and everyone in the family helps out; their home above the bakery always smells like something wonderful to eat!

There are many children living on the streets in Mexico City. Their hungry, yearning faces touch Consuelo’s heart. So she asks her mother if they can share leftover baked goods with the children after the shop closes. Her simple idea leads to many changes!
